Experience

With an Advanced Diploma in Community Management and a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, Michelle boasts over 19 years of diverse experience in the Early Childhood sector.

She has held pivotal roles in OSHC, Long Day Care, and has been heavily involved in the development of new services during her time in Victoria. As the former Safeguarding Children and Young People Manager for the Y Northern Territory, children’s safety is at the forefront of everything she does.

Michelle’s personal philosophy holds very strong values for seeing children as confident and capable learners and respecting the rights of all children, ensuring they have safe welcoming environment where they feel valued and heard.

Experience

Mandy Marsh is an esteemed leader in Early Childhood Education, currently serving as the OSHC Area Manager at The Y NT. With a Diploma and Certificate III in Children’s Services from TAFE NSW and a Bachelor of Education specializing in Birth to five years from Charles Sturt University, she continually pursues professional growth, currently studying Educational Neuroscience at Central Queensland University.

Bringing over 14 years of experience, Mandy has excelled from roles as a Team Leader to Director, exhibiting outstanding leadership at childcare centres like The Kindergarten and Hands and Hearts Kempsey. Her commitment extends beyond centres, actively contributing to Early Connection and Kempsey West Public School’s P&C committee.

Nellie Hiku

Experience

Nellie is an experience leader in Early Childhood Education. Born in Pukekohe, New Zealand, Aotearoa, her heritage, family, and values guide her work every day.

Nellie has a Diploma in Early Childhood, a Bachelor of Teaching from Waikato University and further qualifications in Adult Education. Nellie has worked in management roles within Early Childhood for more than 12 years, and has worked in the New Zealand Department of Education, providing professional development to teachers to implement the Te Reo Māori Language.

Nellie’s experience also includes working on an early childhood board to raise employment standards across the sector and ensure quality standards are met.
